People across Michigan are speaking out in support of investing to finally fix Michigan's roads, which would save money and save lives.

We believe that investing in transportation infrastructure will enhance the ability of our members to get their product to market.
The speech will be delivered at 7 pm ET from the State Capitol in Lansing. It will be broadcast on major TV and radio stations across Michigan, and will also be livestreamed online.
The state gasoline tax hasn't gone up in 15 years and the revenues it generated have been on a 10-year decline.
"We can't wait any longer" on a road funding plan, Wurfel said. "Our economic comeback and building for the future completely depend on our transportation infrastructure."
If lawmakers know of additional ways to free up money, they should put them on the table and pass them without delay. Then they should add muscle to the road repair program through the governor's proposals or their own. And Snyder should stand ready to help them get it done.
Gov. Rick Snyder is expected to unveil a funding plan to fix the state's roads and bridges in his third State of the State address next week.
The state that put the world on wheels seems determined that its residents will drive on pothole-filled surfaces. The Legislature has kicked this can down the road far too many times.
