Macomb County Executive Mark Hackel and other local leaders are calling on legislators and the public to take action on road funding.

Michigan needs to invest in its roads and bridge infrastructure.

Eric Wilson, a board member of the Road Commission for Oakland County, wrote in support of the governor’s road funding plan.

Livingston County taxpayers would have to pay $25 million to fix the same roads it would have cost $11 million to fix two years ago due to “legislative inaction.”

The Detroit News reports today: potholes have arrived, which can cause costly car repairs. Potholes are more common in the early spring, and are often signs of aging roads in need of additional funding for repairs.
