The Detroit News reports today: potholes have arrived, which can cause costly car repairs. Potholes are more common in the early spring, and are often signs of aging roads in need of additional funding for repairs.

Michigan residents pay, on average, $81 a year more than Ohioans for car repairs, mostly because of the condition of the roads they use. As Mr. Snyder noted in his recent State of the State message, fixing roads now will cost far less than deferring maintenance indefinitely.
