Michigan Local Government Management Association: “Let’s find the funding and let’s fix our roads”

The following is a statement from Wyoming City Manager Curtis L. Holt, president of the Michigan Local Government Management Association, regarding the Just Fix Our Roads effort:

“For years the State of Michigan has been discussing the state’s crumbling infrastructure, it is time for action. For local governments, our street systems serve as the infrastructure backbone of our community, economic development, public safety and nearly every local government service looks to the road system as a supporting mechanism to what they do. It is far past time to find a solution to this out of control issue. Let’s find the funding and let’s fix our roads.”

The Michigan Local Government Management Association is the professional association for local government managers and their assistants from cities, villages, townships and counties throughout Michigan. The association was founded in 1927.
