The Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce – West Michigan’s largest business organization – supports fixing our roads now to improve Michigan’s economy and lower the cost of doing business in the state:

Andy Johnston, head of governmental affairs at the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce, argued good roads make Michigan more attractive for businesses, tourists and prospective residents.

“It’s time for the Michigan Legislature to fix the roads, which have a tremendous impact on our economic competitiveness and the cost of doing business in the state,” Johnston said.

“Doing nothing is unacceptable,” he said, “and is only costing us more in the long run.” (from MLive, 1/16/2013)
