Oakland County’s potholes: A lose-lose situation

Posted on March 11th, by Michigan Transportation Team in Latest News, News and Blog. Comments Off

The Oakland Press today published an article, complete with video, about how potholes are affecting drivers.

Everyone has a pothole story. Claudia Brodzik’s entails a pothole “big enough for one of those little Fiats to fall in.”

Brodzik, a Waterford resident, said her nightmare pothole — on the corner of Shoreview Drive and M-59 — just keeps growing.

“It’s so deep, it fills up with water and freezes in the winter and turns into black ice,” she said. “When you turn west onto M-59, your tires spin … you can get into some trouble with the oncoming traffic.”

We all hit potholes, and unfortunately many of us also have pothole-related car repairs.

Share your pothole repair invoice today, and possibly win up to $500.
